I have oil dripping out of my air filter and havent found anything about it on the forum yet. I have a cold air setup, not sure if that would matter, and just a cheap cone filter from auto zone. I have a new pcv valve in it so its not that. Im not sure if its all coming from the valve cover, or turbo or both. I get some oil in my intercooler piping as well because i saw it when i took off my bov. I read on the greddy website that it could possibly be that im not getting enough air flow through my air filter and need to get one thats less restrictive. has anyone heard of this or have any other suggestions before I just go spend money on a new filter?

im assuming you do have an sr in your car, im also assuming that your car is mostly stock, with the stock pull through maf setup, that being said... take off your intake tube and checxk to see if the oil is coming from your turbo, it may be blown and leaking oil into your charge pipes and intake tube.

and the only way that i would think it would be your air filter, is if you just oiled it and went heavy on it

Blown oil seals...sucks.

Once my friend had this symtom and it turns out his piston brok and flew through and destroyed the turbo, among other things.

Clean sucks a bit but yeah get a new turbo.upgrade if you can.

i know its been awhile but i put on a new turbo and still have the same issue. pcv valve and turbo are not the problem. im going to do a compression test and maybe one of those head gasket kits that tell if its bad. any other suggestions? also, i dont think i mentioned that its really bad. i can hardly drive the car. air filter looks like it was pulled out of a bucket of oil, and maf is completely covered so i need to unplug it just to get the car running.

You might have excessive blowby or something.
I think a leaky piston ring or valve seal can cause that.

Sounds like some nasty blow-by from fried piston rings to me. Compression test to confirm.

Did a compression test. 3 cylinders were at 130-135 psi, 1 cylinder at 60 psi. intake valve stuck open?

I'd imagine a stuck intake valve would be quite noticeable when driving, but who knows...
It's also possible that it is bad valve seals, or a blown piston ring.
