i'm getting my motor built w/arias piston, eagle rod, v2 cam, etc. and planning to get a gt2871r or gt30 to replace my t25.I found a greddy oil cooler adaptor w/thermostat for $95. on 240sxmotoring.com and i was wondering if anyone had any problem getting it to work with the ka24de. This is my DD so i want to make it reliable under any circumstance.

What is one of the best oil cooler core should i get, where should i get it? my budget should be around $250. any suggestions?

Not sure if the sandwich adapter that you are talking about will work. But, there are some on eBay that work pretty good. They have ports to hook up your turbo feed line, as well as ones to hook up a cooler. They have both, or just one or the other. Not sure if they have a built in thermostat though. Just search around. There's been a few threads with some links.

i looked around, but most of the thread are for other engines. just wanted to make sure that sr20det and ka24de use the same adaptor/oil filter. i'll probably get the greddy since it is "Greddy" dont really trust ebay based on bad experience.

I run the that greddy sandwich 240sxmotoring sells. Andy was cool when i called them up, helped me with figuring out how all i wanted to route everything.

I live in NY so one of my big reasons for buying that cooler was that it's got the thermostat. I cannot stress how important that is if you live somewhere where winter months are cold.

As far as fitment it fits fine, i've got mine running the 2 lines to an oil cooler, then oil pressure and temp sensors in the other ports. Ditched my factory pressure sensor and used that as the oil feed to the turbo. It's worked great for me!

^ lol

I was using a B&M oil cooler #70273 - SuperCooler rated at 15,000 BTU 11"x5-3/4"x1-1/2" (Racing model doesn't include installation components and has female 1/2 NPT fittings). Can also be used for all fluid cooling needs.
