I was thinking about interrupting the oil line between the block and my turbo and tapping in an oil cooler right there. That way the oil going into my turbo is somewhat cooler and better on the bearings. My T25 bearings(bushings) are just starting to squeal and I checked the return to make sure they were getting oil; they were! And now my T28BB is on the way and i'm not detroying that one! What do you guys think?

usually people fit the sandwich between the oil filter and block. Then they run lines from there to the front of the car. If you're going to install an oil cooler, I'd probably put it on the right side of the car since the oil filter's right there and it leaves the left side for the smic, and the center for the radiator. Or you could put the cooler right in front of your radiator, but if you're going fmic, I'd look to put it on the right side since you're already going to have cooling issues from the fmic blocking the air flow to your rad.

That's a pretty good idea!I never thought of putting the the fender. But I was more concerned about where to tap into the oil lines?I wanted to do it between the block and the turbo, only to try to cool down the turbo bearings as the primary function.Doing it on the oil filter side would be the easiest, I know.My T28 should be here this week, and while its out, I could rerun the oil lines through a cooler.I'm just not sure if it would starve the turbo for oil not?

You could always use AN fittings from the block to the turbo. The AN fittings would have to reach quite a bit though to reach into the side and those hoses and fittings aren't cheap either. Otherwise, I don't see why there'd be a problem otherwise. But I'd probably still try to have it right before the oil filter since on my car I'll be using the smic for a while.

Check out Jegs.com for some slick oil/trans. These things are usually used by the V8 boys, and should be more than adequate for the SR.
