the best place to put it it somewhere on the front bumper where it will receive fresh cool air. it won't cool it as much where you want to put it but the front will receive cooler air than the heatsoaked air inside the engine bay

Dont do that. Would be a waste of an oil cooler for one...

If your going to install it, do it right and use the/an oil distribution block.

Also, add an oil cooler thermostat in-line with it. It's cheap, and it will allow your motor to warm up correctly, and quickly. Typically you can get them in a filter relocation kit, and oil cooler when you get them together. But if you already have the stuff, go at it.

Just my $.02

Oh shart i worded that wrong..... I didnt mean im going to put the oil cooler in front of the turbo that would be silly. I meant like go from my oil pressure sensor to the cooler in front of my whip and then take it to my turbo thus giving my turbo a bit cooler ride and cooling the oil overall.

Doesnt matter where you put it, the right way is like 480sx said. if you want some quality parts then here's a sandwich plate that is proven to work on the ka, even comes w/ built in thermostat. http://www.240sxmotoring.com/groilcoadw.htmlPlus i dont even think that little turbo feedline is good to run into an oil cooler. Dont waste your time!

with this you have a return line and a feedline going into the oil cooler instead of using the turbo oil feed line.

just to clarify I have mine setup like this, not to have an engine oil cooler so much as added assurance my turbo stays cool, and yes the pressurized oil feed will flow the oil just fine...

been like this for some time now... but hey I fixed my fmu with a dew can...and it works too... is it the optimal engine oil cooler? HELL NO!! as soon as it passes the turbo its going to be pretty hot again... just my .02
