Is the adapter with the rubber Oring for the block or the oil filter?
Do the fittings look right? When I first put it together I had 3 extra fittings, since it was almost universal I figured that was just because I could put together however I needed to. On the cooler, I added those large riser fittings with side ports, but I don't think they're necessary on the cooler because the angle fitting should be just fine and fits in the same port.
Also that blue fitting (looks like an AN fitting) there is a size down fitting that fits the taper fitting with a large diameter into a smaller diamater which is the size same as the oil filter. the kit came with two of them but I have no idea what the other one is for (red but the same size). The hoses are already assembled (no idea what size but rather large, 4x larger than my turbo feed line, like the size of huge turbo dump lines).
Are you supposed to use sometype of sealant for the line fittings (They aren't exactly AN (with the rubber oring on the inside), and I don't want it to leak later on.
Is there a specific way you need the mount the oil filter (sideways or upright) or doesn't that matter?
I want to add a thermostat to it so do I need the http://www.240sxmotoring.com/gr12reoilcof.html (oil filter one) or http://www.240sxmotoring.com/groilcoadw.html (the block adapter). Or can I use either one? Benefits or disadvantages of either?
On the KA24E block is it 3/4X16UNF or M20x1.5? And why does the Greddy block adapter just have one huge hole in the center of it? Is that the feed line and you use the lower port for the return line or vice versa?
A diagram or detailed pictures of someones install on the sohc engine probably be of great help.
Lastly, I'm turboing the engine as soon as I get everything back together (intake manfiold and this oil cooler needed a bunch of work). Do you use one of the extra ports for that or should I just keep it how my turbo kit is (got it used so it came somewhat assembled) where the lines runs directly into the oil pressure sensor port? And where do you screw the oil pressure sensor in, if I had one of the greddy adapters, on the bottom of the sandwhich plate or in the turbo line?
Don't worry about pressure loss, I'm going to find me one of those automatic Oil Pumps from the 280Z engine. That should cover the massive pressure difference (20% more oil flow approximately).
Lastly mounting location. I've seen people put them right in front of the radiator, the hoses are long enough to do this and the intercooler will have enough space behind it to have it there too. But with the intercooler and radiator there, it'd be better to mount it in the lower passenger side of the bumper with a shroud directing air through it right?
