oil Consumption

92 240sx hatch with 114k and Lately I have noticed about a quart disappearing between two or so fill ups. I don't see any oil on my drive way and I have had friends follow me and there is no typical old a** Honda smoke plume? Any ideas where this oil might be going? Or am i pretty much looking at piston rings and or valves?

I'd try the valve stem seals before I'd do valves themselves... Pretty inexpensive and if you have an honest machinist, they can inspect the rest of the top end for you when you take the head to them.

check your pcv valve.. when you remove it,, shake it. if you hear rattling, then it should still be good.. if not change it.. id change it anyways.. i had the same problem and $3 later it was fixed..

I really hope it is simple I will give both of these a try. How much coin would valve stems set me bacK?
