hey Nissan fellow owners I'm new to the forums but figured I'd share some good information. I have a 2008 altima s with 60k miles that was consuming as much as quart and a half every 800-1000 miles. brought the car to the stealership to have it checked and all they said was bring the car back in 2 months so we can see how bad is the consumption (I had them do an oil change). anyway I took it upon myself to do some research and found that a bad PCv will cause oil consumption and its a pretty cheap part and easy to change on most cars. sure enough Pcv was bad so I replaced it and no more disappearing oil or trips to the stealership which was trying to get me do a premium maintenance service I honestly didn't need
