Sup fellas , long time viewer, 1st post. I have a 92 240sx, (RPS13)/USDM180sx, W/ KA24DE twin cam 16 valve.I recently pulled the head to replace it due to some cam shaft guide bolts broken off in old head from original BC stage 2 cam install (brother confused torque spec). I took the new head to my local machine shop to have it machined, valves seated, valve seals installed, port polish and 3 angle valve job done. well, after assembly when i rotated motor for the first time i noticed oil comming out from around the header gasket. Note there is no coolant in oil, nor does the block leak any coolant. any suggestions?

additional info:1. used all new parts in head :valves, spring spring seats, valve seals, retainers and cotters, valve cover gasket, and a 3 layer metal Cometic head gasket, APR head studs, and all new gaskets else where on the front of the motor.

I can post pictures (tear down and assembly was documented high res)

When you say rotated the motor, did you mean turning the crankshaft by hand or did you actually start the motor up and let it run.

Did the oil appear just once or is it coming out all the time? The oil could be from a valve cover gasket leak if it's coming out all the time.

Yes by "rotate the motor " i did mean crank it over via the ignition.Yes, oil is comming from both sides of the block, looks to me to be comming from the header gasket and around the intake plentium gasket.

no the motor does not leak oil just sitting there, it only leaks when i crank the motor to start it. I have pulled the plugs and the No. 4 (closest to the fire wall) is wet with oil. I am going to pull the header and crank the motor to see if it comes out of the exhaust ports or try to better identify the origin. I was also advised by a fellow nissan addidct to pull thge valve cover again and double check the oil galley plugs....make any sense?
