Sorry if this has come up before. I tried searching but didn't find anything.

I'm using synthetic oil and the dealer said that I can go about 5,000 miles between changes. Other people here have said that synthetic can go much further.

It's been about 3,000 miles since I had the synthetic put it. I checked the oil, but I'm not sure if it looks ok or not. It's still an amber color but I don't know what is still good or dirty.



I'm not sure if you can tell from these pictures, but any suggestions anyone has would be helpful.

Be careful about judging an oil by it's color. Stay with the recommended change schedule and all will be well.
