To put it simply, it doesn't matter what oil you use. It's an econocar. It will do fine with any oil as long as you change it at the right intervals and don't drive it bat s*** crazy. Conventional at 3k-5k and synthetic anywhere from 5k-10k. Plenty of cars have gone hundreds of thousands of miles on just conventional with no problems.
Mostly any oil filter should do also. I would probably stay away from Fram though. They seem to be a bit on the low quality side of filters. The filter is a little more important than the oil you use but you can't go too wrong. Wix, Purolator, Mobil 1, etc. are all just fine. Again, the filter is a little more important than the oil you use.
And to all the people who blow money putting Royal Purple or other high dollar synthetic into their Versa, my dad running SuperTech (Walmart) synthetic in his truck from 0 miles to the current 100,000 miles it has now with no leaks or burning shows that it does just fine so that's what I put in my Versa. I get 30-32 mpg city which is pretty great IMO.
