ok so I was told I was getting free oil change for life when I bought my car. I always got it for free but recently the sales person has been charging me. He said that the free oil change had "loopholes" and its really not free for life. i feel like I am being scammed ! Should I call the manager? Or should I ask a different service center to check up on the records?

Lots of dealerships offer this as a perk......If they told you that, you should have gotten it in writing at some point during the papers signing process...........You got screwed.....!!

My dealership has a similar program, but it's something you have to pay for. Back then when my dad bought his 97 Maxima he bought it for ~350 and you basically get "free" oil changes for life, and this was true until I totaled the car... over 10 years later, meaning I still got 10 years of oil changes for 350. I bought the same thing for my Altima for about 500 I think, and I've gotten 2 years of oil changes out of it so far.

If you got it really for FREE when you bought the car it's something that you might be able to discuss with your sales associate or even sales manager. Maybe you missed some fine print or something. Either way if it was free, I wouldn't fret too much about it. If you paid for it, then it'd be a different story.

for sure talk to the sales rep or the manager, if you were told you'd get free oil changes then you should get them. if there are loopholes, then ask what they are and how they apply to your situation.

when i bought extended warranty i was given 1 year of free oil changes, totally depends on the dealership and the promo at the time

If you were told you would receive something for free and now you're being charged for it why the hell wouldn't you question a higher up?
