Oil change interval differences on 370z model years?

Hi,

Just got my 2020 370z nismo a few weeks ago and its awesome!

I noticed that the owners manual says 7,500 miles interval on oil change.

However, I do remember 2017 and below model years it says 5,000 miles interval on oil change.

What changed between 2009-2017 and 2018-2020 model years that they have different oil change intervals?

Nothing changed with the car, oil got better. FWIW, I consider 7500 very extreme for conventional or synthetic blend oils, but perfectly okay for full synthetic, which is what your 370 takes. It won't kill your engine to run conventional or blended, but on a Z, I'd recommend 3000 if you do that.
