So, my dealership told me to keep the oil until 3,750, and all the oil they use is what was specified for the car. I'm still confused about going full synthetic, cause they say it would be okay, rather than natural oil.

My car has 1114 miles right now, and some posts talked about getting it changed at 1k. I'm not sure what information I take in.

I just want to make sure this car will last for years. :p

The information I have been provided with was initial oil change at 3750 miles and each 3750 mi thereafter. The vehicle came with Valvoline 5W30, so the dealer recomended that be used. That being said, I plan on using Penzoil 5W30 Platinum Full Synthetic in mine. I have a Honda with 175000 miles on it and have used the Penzoil Full Synthetic in it. I have never had an engine problem and it still runs strong. I think the main thing is using a quality oil, keeping the level checked, and changing it as recomended. Congrats on the new wheels!

I just check it regularly with the car running at the gas station... If it looks a little low ill just top it off.

When I get my coupe, can I change the oil myself, or will it void the warranty? What are the warranty restrictions?

None of you got Free Oil Changes from your dealership?

We got 4 each and I will DIY both Coupes with K&N and Castrol German Synthec 0W-30. I've been using this for about 4 years and my RSX just loves ot.
