Hi Guys

I have finally got my freshly built forged CA running in my S13.

The engine has done 140kms, and i am curious about when to change the oil.

I have also had different opinions about run in.

So far i have been driving normally, changing gears alot so the revs are constantly changing, and loading it 3rd gear from 2800rpm to 4500-5000rpm.

What is a good time to change the oil for the first time. And is there any recommended oil that you guys have had good experiences with in the past?

Cheers :dblthumb:

change the oil after running the first 30 minutes after first start
then change again at 800km... and finally at 5000km

use ONLY conventional oil until after 5000km, after which synthetic is ok

I work in Miles instead of km's, but these numbers sound about right. He's also right about sticking with dinosaur oil till ur past the 5k mark.
