Oil Catch can

I have a few questions about installing a oil catch can. I have a sr20det with t4 turbo setup, and i am installing a oil catch can. I hooked the lines up the way they had them on the signal car and my car started to die when i started it... Can anyone plz help me out, and tell me the right way to do it.. Also could anyone help me find the best prices on new rods, pistons, rings, bearings. I have to rebuild my motor since i never got my car tuned.

Can you post a link to the signal car's set up? I hooked one hose to the "T" on the driver side of the valve cover and the other hose goes back to the intake to provide vacuum.

I hooked it up that way and it like bogged my engine down where it could not idle..
