Oil catch can question

I was seeing that many people install a catch can between the hose coming from the valve cover to the intake. Well my question is wouldn't it be better to mount one in between the pcv valve located under the intake mani and the runners it connects to?

No because if a crankcase creats pressure when boosting, a pcv can't keep up. That's why the pcv valve uses 3/8 line and the catch can uses 7/8 line. I've seen people block off the catch can tube and blow there dipstick out of the hole!
