what is the oil capacity of my redtop SR20DET motor?

im trying to get it running tonight and i cant find how much oil goes in it anywhere online so far.

please help

I believe its 4 and 1/3 with a new filter. What oil are you going to be using.

thank you, im gonna flush it with a higher milage drive clean blend and a motor flush agent, but i'll be using mobil1 15w-50 syn after that.

some australian site said 3.25 quarts (NOT liters)...dunno

3.6 is the listed capacity for the USDM (fwd) SR.

HMM, I have been running 4 quarts w/ a new filter every time, well 3 times since I had the car.

I have been running 4 qts. Also, tomorrow I am stepping up to a Greddy pan though and will be using 5 qts.

Yeah, I think that .5 quart is eaten up by the motor since the motor was dry (i.e. never been started for so long). The greddy pan was good in cooling the oil. I have an oil pressure gauge. I saw when the oil is still cool, the pressure is higher (like 25 psi on idle when cold and 11 psi warm). I'm using Mobil 1 5W30 synthetic. That greddy pan is soft aluminum. I stripped the thread on my first oil change. Be gentle with it.
