Oil block/filter flow directions

Hi,
Does any one know what directions the oil pump flows?
eg- the top hole on oil filter block is the exit point and flows through the center of the oil filter then returns into the bottom hole on the oil filter block.

I have made an oil filter relocation block for a cooler and thrown away the original piece of the jigsaw.

Also is there a drama in running a turbo oil feed from the hole next to the top hole of the oil filter block?

I have had it running this way and didnt seem to have any problem, but since i have had the car apart for paint i can remember the flow direction.

mmmmmmmm not sure how accurate the image is any one else have some insight.

It's from the factory service manual for a vh45de, it should be very accurate...

Yeah, Im picking up what your putting down. The image just looks a little simplified as the oil filter aint on the correct angle. i think it is a bit of an overview of iol flow for the engine thats all.
