So...

I was out last night, having a grand time with two of my lovely ladies, and a guy starts s*** with one of them. Like really? Just because we do not wish to speak with you is no reason to start making trouble with us. Take the defeat and move on like a man to annoy group of unsuspecting cum dumpsters next to us.

In any event, he has two girls next to him who decide to jump in, screaming their nonsense out of their mouths. Honestly, I was trying to calm everyone down until one of these whores tries to leap at one of my ladies. So, naturally, I clocked her square in the jaw. Next thing you know I'm on top of her, wailing on this poor girl's face and two bouncers pulled me off. The evening continues. Whatever.

I get back to my baby boy in the parking lot, just wanting to go home to my strawberry shortcake and ice cream I made previously in the afternoon, and MY PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW IS SMASHED. Glass EVERYWHERE.

I was up until 6 this morning vacuuming up that mess. Kicker is, they didn't even TAKE anything, because there wasn't anything in the car.

Ugh.

So. Question. I want to get my windows tinted, and was just going to do it this week. Do you think having tinted windows deters potential window smashers, or do you think it entices them more, because they feel like you have something to hide?

It's 50/50. If they're going to smash your window they're going to smash your window whether it's tinted or not.

Tinting can prevent theft (so obviously they cannot see inside), and tinting can encourage theft because as you pointed out it makes them think you are hiding something.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

P.S.

I hope you beat the f*** outta her. LOL.

Makes you wonder if it was her or her crew? Anyways, tinted windows are a good thing, keeps the heat out and helps mask stuff a little (unless you go limo) - anyways, you should try to never leave stuff sitting. Also makes it a little bit harder to smash. And if it is, the film will tend to keep a good bit of the mess attached.

Best part about having the windows tinted I had the windows of my work truck tinted. when it got broken into, I was able to pick the window up off the ground in one piece(for the most part) after it was smashed.

It still breaks into a million pieces, but a least the million pieces stay mostly attached to one common surface.

+1 on the tint saving you from having a shattered glass mess. one of my friends had a brick thrown through his rear windshield recently and there was a square hole from the brick, and then other than that the glass was still in place (just in tiny pieces.) he actually just taped over the square and drove around like that for a week or so before he had the money to replace it.

I highly doubt it was her or her friends. There was no way to know who I was/what I drove/where I parked it. Nothing distinguishes my A/C, just the fact that it's sexy =)

That's a good point, about the film. I'm still finding shards and chunks here and there.

Tint deters theft.

Wait a month or so before you get it tinted though, theres gonna be pieces of glass in the door etc that will tear the window tint... give the window up/down a lot of action to shake the glass loose... Also, there are BIG ISSUES with the aftermarket glass for the AC, make sure you get NISSAN glass or be prepared for fitment issues!

I'd say it goes either way.

Tint = curiosity Tint = less visibility

Anyways, that's a pretty epic night. "I clocked her square in the jaw"; Exactly what I would've done, I hate people like that...just go on and mind your own business. SIGH

there was a bunch of cases of break-ins in my area of Brooklyn due to tints. the tint held the glass together and the robbers would cut the whole window out without it breaking and making noise.

Just not in the coupe, we all know that everything shows up on this black paint. You'd smack into her and while you were trying to deny it you'd have a ton of swirls with a silhouette of her face buffed out on your hood

Dang Gurl! Look at you go!

Hope no one starts something with you in Carlisle! Or there's gonna be a lot of "Nico Big Brothers" ready to pound the crap out of...how did you say it.. Oh yeah ..."cum dumpsters"

AS for the tint, +1 Just research the tint laws for your state and stay with in the limits. In you don't, be prepared to be harrased by local and state LEO just my $.02

Sorry to hear about the car. I have had the same experience and it's completely frustrating. Tint depending on it's darkness does say something about a car. I don't prefer a completely blacked out car...raises some eyebrows at times, but i don't keep anything in my car that I need to hide either.

no need to wait to get it tinted, To the op, when they replace your glass, they will remove the door panel AND the inner part of the door and vacuum all of the glass out...at least if you go to a reputable company...

and yes, ONLY BUY NISSAN OEM GLASS... for one, its actually cheaper than aftermarket and 2, NONE of the aftermarket companies glass fits our car... please take it from me and Adidas2Go and just get the NISSAN OEM glass...

oh yeah, way to hold it down for your girls...
