So, when I had the ka with auto trans, the car weighed in at 2,750 with 1/4 tank of gas. I had:

-racing seats-no backseats-no carpet-no spare tire

Now, with the swap, somethings changed:

-removed a/c-carbon fiber hood-removed carbon canister-removed airbags-custom intake manifold-removed bumper support-added front mount ic kit-added carpet-added aftermarket steering wheel-added the RB of course, with manual trans-Fidanza flywheel

Anyway...all said and done, my driving weight with 1/4 tank of gas is 2,660 lbs...so I lost like 90 lbs during the swap...what a shame

The battery is in the trunk, and the lighter front end is great and the car handles better than ever

Very interesting info Nick. Good to hear... that's a really impressive number for an s14, let alone one with the "heavy" RB.

I will prolly go weigh mine sometime soon and get back to everyone with teh results as well

Yeah, I picked up a huge nail at the landfill where I weighed it, but $22 to patch the tire was worth the weighing:)

Under 2700 wow that's light for an S14 with RB

Just cuirous if anyone knows how much weight a carbon fiber hood saves in an S13? how bout a whole S15 front conversion with fiberglass fenders bumper and CF hood? Also does anyone know if you can paint over CF, I would assume so but am not sure

Any idea how much that auto transmission weighed? I bet that is 90% of the difference right there.

i'm on my s13 stock suspension right now; with no weight distribution done to the car, even the battery is at the front and it handle pretty very well.
