Well let me start off by asking a few simple questions...1. What is the correct point gap? (for the distributer i believe)2. What is the dead on accurate Spark plug gap?3. what is teh dwell and arch supposed to be set at?Ok these are all questions my uncle told me to ask you guys. i might have messed things up in the questions. But anyway, When i start the car up i hear a slight tap. sounds like its coming from the top of the head. Another problem is (the main problem) for some strange reason the car suddenly wont rev higher then about or around 5000 rpms. whether its in neutral or in a gear. second problem is that if i drive it and press the gas down it feels like it dips, then starts to go like it delays for a second when i accelerate . i took it on a big road and tried seeing how fast it would go, but it only maxes out at about 65 mph. i really need to know what the deal is. i changed the oil. i changed the spark plugs, and wires. the distributor cap and rotor. so im not sure if i didnt install the cap and rotor the right way or what. its running like **** and i need it fixed so i can drive it in order to sell myfc rx7. im trying to get the money for an sr20det. but this car problem is delaying me from selling the fc in order to get new engine for the s13. pleeeeease someone help me. youll be my hero i promise!

oh one major thing i left out i was messing in the engine bay while the car was running and found out that if i moved the wirind harness away about 1-2 inches away from the valve cover the engine starts rocking and slowing down idle like it wants to cut off. so im thinking it might be a short in there as well? if anyone else has some input please dont hold back. help a fellow nissan lover out! i want this thing to run cherry again!!! and thanks for the 240 edge link.

well, I beleive when you move the wiring harness away from the valve cover, the injector plugs are loosening. I have the same problem. There's supposed to be metal clips holding them on. Mine are missing so my engine did the same thing as yours. I just took a small flathead screwdriver and bent in (ever so slightly) the tabs on the plugs and haven't had a problem sence. as for the reving prob I too say MAFS.

But about that 240edge.com website, I DL'd the guide and i opened the winzip file and all of the files are un-readable. i dont get how i am supposed to understand it, its as if someone smashed on the keys in word pad and then saved it. I dont know if i saved it wrong or what. maybe i have to open it a certain way? help out again. sorry if i sound noobish, im really not. Ive just been going through alot lately and its making it hard to think correctly.
