Well today doing about 80 i tried to pass an 18 wheeler to merge onto the different freeway. Right when I changed the lane, there was a big rock in the lane(explains why it was empty). I did what I could to avoid it but there was not much room in between the truck on my right and the wall on the left side. I hit the rock and it tore open my bumper and hit my door. I was just quoted 650 to fix it. That's the lowest they would go. I was also quoted the hood and the rear bumper too all together 1300 including labor(besides the bumper).

Now the problem, I need a bumper(fast) and I can't find one besides the dealer. You guys know where I can get it?. I also need the chrome that is in the middle of the door. Dealer quotes 410 for bumper and 80 for the chrome.

It's sad seeing her all torn up.

Well I am sure that I can do that because after I rolled it 3 more people hit it. I just didn't stop for the sake of closing the freeway because it would **** it up big time 5 going to 60 at 8 am rush hour. I am currently looking in the CHP website to see if someone reported it because I can just show that report to them and claim it.

Your profile doesn't say what year Q45 you have, but the recycler shows 4 Q45s for sale within 75 miles of you for under $2000. You could buy one, take off what you want, and part out the rest and might even break even if you are lucky. Or take the stuff off yours and fix up the other one if its in better shape than what you have. Craigslist also has two Q45s under $2000.

Not yet, I will soon. I am just too scared to go out and see her like that again. Will post as soon as I get the pics.

Hop on the innernets and search some junk yards. Fill out the form and you'll get bombarded by peeps with parts. Easy.

Harderst part is finding a qualified paint shop, unless you want an Earl Shat paint job.

Well I have been calling the local junk yards since then, no luck. I think I might have to tell the insurance since the bumper from the dealer is already 420 bucks. plus that freakin chrome strip is another 80.

Keep looking on the net.

I recently found a generic web form which when filled is sent to dozens, if not hundreds of salvage yards. These junk yards then contact you with a quote on the part. Many of them will be shotgun offers for you to call them, but some will be bona fide and have the part you desire and price. Usually they quote the price shipped to your door. The prices for repairing these toys tend to be high while the resale absurdly low. As a result they are easily totaled and end up in the bone yard. Good for us, just axe Bullittandy!
