hah.

Just wanted to say hi. Please bare with me as I am completly new to the world of the 240sx. I'm a 300zx freak. Love them. Drove a 240sx, loved it, and should be paying for one in full this Friday. Where's the best spot(s) to get info, (like motor types, modes, etc) so I can start figuring out what I want and can do. i.e. is it possible...er.rather.. reasonalbe to strap on a turbo. (I know on z31, it is, but not really the wisest of things to do w/o changing heads, pistons, wire-harness, and ecu) So would it be the same here.

What are common probs. So in short, I know that question has been asked 150 million times. So where do I go so that I don't ask all the same questions that have already been asked.

I'm getting a 92 5 speed. It's red. (needs paing, so trying to figure out how I want to paint it)

Anyone in the Houston area. One of my friends has a 240 to so trying to find some things to do to them and some people to kick it with and ride with.

depends on the question, there are technical and engine-specific forums for all you inquiries. Be sure to do a search on the topic before starting a thread about it though, it gets the natives restless.

first off, welcome to NICO! anything can be done to the 240. if you think of it, it most likely has already been done. you can use the search button to the right to your advantage as everything has already been talked about atleast 50 times. also, the FAQs at the top of the forums have alot of info in them and are worth checking out.

Sounds like the 300 forum I'm in. Nothing ever changes except the car of conversations. hah

Cool. Will do some searches. Probably not gonna RB it or anything (quite yet.) so will probably just turbo it after I research it some. Just gonna make something that's fun to drive, nice to look at and sounds good inside and out. And I'll be happy.

Semi-tube chassis with wishbone front suspension? I couldn't find it on here but I want to do it one day. I guess it's been talked about now though.

Welcome to NICO! You've come to the right place for all of your 240sx tuning needs. All you have to do is use the blinking search link at the top right of the screen, and you have very very valuable information at your finger tips.

Congrats on getting a 240.. with a little love, they'll repay you tenfold.

I'm also from houston. Come join http://www.houston240sx.com for local events and get-togethers. houston240sx was recently featured in G4 TV's formulaD show. Tell your friend to join too, we want to get all of the 240 owners in houston together.

But Devious, that was linked from your site! *Sigh* Will require tons of custom fabrication as well as new hubs, control arms, and coilovers. Topic covered.

Ok, probs. A 92 will most likely be leaking oil. The most likely culprit is the front oil seal. I believe rough idle is also common. I believe this post will come in handy there.zerothread?id=81587&postid=858975#858975 Also search for info on the timing chain. Yours may or may not be bad, listen for a rattle coming from the front of the engine. I don't have that yet but I am told it sounds like a roller coaster chain when it goes bad.

Hope you enjoy your 240SX, I know I do!
