oh no a debadging blunder HELP!!!

So i was debadging my car and the symbols came off but after i removed all the glue and to my surprise there was an outline of each letter on my trunk..Any suggestions???

wax would probably do the trick...

Before you wax it, use some polishing compound. It's less abrasive than regular compound. when you're done then use the wax

thanks guys but the letters almost look as if they sat a couple mm in the trunk....almost as if the trunk was resprayed

Try using clay bar first, it's not abrasive and it should remove all above the surface contaminants.
