OH MY GOD!!! my SHIFT KNOB TURNED A LIL BUT NOW ITS JAMMED!!!!! WTF?

so today, out of curiousity, i wanted to take of my shift knob

i turned it counter clock wise and it turn about 90 degrees and now it wont budge at all, niether clockwise or counter...

I am so pissed, i work out and i am not weak, but i used all my energy til my hands were red and couldnt even budge it. What is a good way to finish this thing so i dont have to drive with a twisted knob?

is blowdryer/heat gun going to help at all?

did you check if there is a set screw??

did u push the chrome piece down before trying to remove it? I think you might have twisted it off its track. Take some pictures so we can see better, remove the chrome piece by pushing it down

I used a wrench when I removed mine. there is some wierd glue on the screw in it, so if its really hot it might be easier to twist with a hand but as soon as the temp cools down, its nearly impossible to do anything without brute force lol

i have a STANDARD... i thought it was simple as twist it off....

ITS CRAZY HOW I TWISTED IT EASILY AT FIRST, THEN IT WAS STUCK (use russel petter accent)

Sorry to hear about your problem man...use a hacksaw and a die set to thread it and start all over. Joking man...not sure what you can do..sorry
