I need an electric fan, how many CFM does the stock crank powered fan produce? Would one 16" electric fan work if it produced 2500CFM?

stock crank fan does 3000somefin cfm @ 3k rpm(when engaged)

supposely 1800cfm is enough to cool for daily driving, but you'd want more, also i don't know if a 16" fan fits the stock rad and you may want to cover as much as you can.

you need more than 1800 for dd if your in warm weather area. I know from past errors. I would say to get a 2 14's or a 16 and 14. Even two 12 or 10 would probably work. Just need to cover plenty of area. You could put 3 16" fans and it would not out flow the mechanical fan at 4k. At idle it moves over 2000 cfm.

the stock electric fan is good enough for dd..just wire it up to a switch and get rid of the clutch fan...its strong enough to cool the radiator down...with no problems...

Are you speaking of the electric altima fans that were used in the transverse mounting the same engine?? I would think those are the cheapest and safest electrical fans out there... as they were already sized / picked for the same engine.

I will only say that I live in florida and that the ac fan and 14" wont cut it, but the mechanical will.

Get Altima fanswhen wired correctly will cool down your car perfectlyEven in the caribbean tropic, turbo engine and AC cold!Be sure to raise the base idle just a tad to compensate the electrical load.
