That question can only be answered by you...And what you lookn for in a swap...Whether pure power or just something fun to daily drive in...And what your pockets say...What are you looking to do?

I would like to do RB26 swap but....I need to be able to do it myself.....basically I need a video guide or walk through that is detailed with no skipped steps and a basic list of all parts that I will need to do the swap....spending, not real worried about it, but the type of motor really depends upon the availability of directions and parts to do so. I have a 96 s14 so I need a zenki walk through. I'm sure you understand. I'm weighing my options but I really need a dvd or guide or something first.

If you require someone leading you through the swap by your nose, then these motors arent for you.

Just my opinion.

lol good luck man

this isnt a honda swap. nobody is going to hold your hand through it. you have to understand how things work and how to overcome obstacles.

your best best is to, search the freggin' forums and freggin' maybe you should buy from Drifting.com a RB25DET install dvd into a S13 and just use it as a reference... and be sure to read & understand the FSM of a USDM S14 and a RB2xDETx FSM also....

I find it hard to locate where I ask for anyones opinion. I simply asked for a response from a mature adult. you want to act like that go drive your momas civic. When you can act like grown men then come back. Now does anyone know how to help me honestly. I wasn't born with the knowledge of motor swaps so if I can get some help from a moderator or someone mature I would appreciate it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

you arent listening.

this isnt a honda. there are no real well written step by step guides on how to do these swaps because there are several different ways to do it. several mount kits, crossmember swaps, stock mounts, etc. all possible depending on your comfort level and budget.

you need to do your own research on the swap and decide for yourself how it has to be done.

start with the stickied threads at the top of this forum.

p.s. drop the attitude. the people giving you a hard time are the ones who have done this swap so they surely arent driving their "mothers civics".... keep that in mind.

if you have no knowledge of doin motor swaps. Then i suggest you definitely dont try this yourself. First id try taking your KA24 out and reinstalling it and make sure it still runs good. If you cant do that, then there is no way ull do a Rbxx swap

understandably, but I dont want to hear how hard the swap is. Believe me I know.... To an extent. I wanna hear solutions like "go here here is a write up." or like you said. There are many ways to do it. I know someone has done it in an S14. All I asking is for an experienced opinion based on facts not opinions. I need help not non encouraging statements.. but thanks

Joe just said, there really are no specific writeups. You can't go somewhere and read and look at photos. There is an RB swap DVD available from somewhere to give you an idea of what your getting into.

You know, to an extent? Whats this knowledge base you speak of.

This isn't a good forum to waltz into and ask questions like this. You will get teased, berated and harassed. Get over it. If you don't believe me, look at the title under "Joe". He IS the moderator.

Come in here with specific questions about the swap, and you will get much more useful and insightful information. Realistically, you won't know what you need to ask until you start the job or watch the DVD. You will also find that 99% of your questions are already answered in the archives.

This is about as mature as it gets. Calling forum dwellers names isn't in your best interest. They may hold the key to your swap, and you will never know since your attitude pissed them off.

im not trying to piss anyone off I started this thread with a question to point me to a good start. I did read the stickies and I have read the posts but they are too broad....that's all I'm asking for. And I know Joe is a Moderator, its obvious. I just need a "for instance." I see that most everyone replying to this forum has done a swap and other than Joe has not really helped. just ridiculed if they dont like the thread then don't post. It's simple, I do it. nevermind lock this thread for **** sake.
