i know our s14's will look good if we buy rims around an offset of 30..but how much difference will it make if we get an offest of 45 or 40? how many inches will it go in the fender?

40 to 45 is like stock offset, just look at your car with stock wheels

people, well, I buy wheels for their offset because I want to fit wider tires

225 all around on my car

I would say it woudl go in about 1 inch... I am sure someone can get technical and give you exact measurement based on exact wheel/tire size specification

It depends on how wide the wheels you're shoving in there are. With wider wheels, a higher offset means you'll have less of a problem fitting them under the fender, but you could run into problems with your suspension setup. A low offset will push the wheel out, but you may have to roll the fender to get them to fit right if they're too wide.

offset is usually read by mms rarely inches

lower offset = bigger lip

25 mms = about 1 inch

so if the difference between a +30 and +55 would be 1 inch, so im guessing 1/2 an inch from 30-45ish.so ignoring all clearance and width size go out there and check how far your wheels are from your fenders or how far u want it to "unsink" then minus that number into the offsets.

i prefer offsets under +20 in any condition for 240s. +0 offsets and negative offsets are sweet too for wheels that arent as wide. and +10-15ish for wider wheels but thats my taste. and that is ignoring all clearance issues

Please visit the tire and wheel forum. And you can use this calculator to see how far the wheels will stick out (or go in)http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html

ok heres wat the calculator said

Your new wheel will have the following chracteristics:1. The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 5mm LESS2. The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 45mm

wat does that mean. does number 1 mean that from the edge of my spring to the wheel/tire will have 5mm less space from the stock? and does number 2 mean that from the tire of the outside side of the wheel will move outwards 45mm more?

i need help guys my hook up guy is going to order my rims tomorrow...so yeh any help will dothanks
