Hi guys, pickup this set of 18s" look like those on member 240RB1, Eric's white Q looking really nice.

After putting the numbers together and I am now a little nervous on the fitment. Not planing to lower as everything stays.

The spec in the manual for the OE rims: 15 X 6.5, 5x114.3 mm, 45 mm offset all around, ? ok with ruler
The spec for the z rims:................... 18 x 8 , 5x114.3 mm, 30 mm offset all around, 66.1 mm hub bore

The differential, if I am not wrong, is 0.5(8-6.5)in + (45-30)mm = 1.34 in or 34 mm further out. Is it too much?
I am looking at 3 options of tires size: 245/40-18, 235/45-18 and 225/45-18.

Now, should I be nervous? would it work? plug and play? or looking at some sort of mods?
Your knowledge and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

This computes that the new wheels will extend out an additional 34mm (just like you said), and in only 4mm, so I don't think you'll have much trouble with it as long as you keep the overall diameter of your wheel/tire combo close to stock.

Tire Rack suggests 245/40-18 or 275/35/18...

I'm running 16 x 7 1997 Q wheels with a 40mm offset, so I'm only 3mm addional clearance vs. what you're talking about on the inside - and I don't recall thinking "wow that's close" looking at mine.

Thanks Heath for the encouragement.

I test fit the rim on the front as two of them show up today; hope the rest tomorrow.
There is pretty good space between the vertical third link, about 20 mm, on the inside. I jacked up the suspension approximately as much as had on the car, It looks like almost flushes with the fender and it would be for the tires. I hope the tire will not hit the fender going over speed bumps.

I am going to order some 245/45-18 which is 0.68 in taller then the OE. I am looking at this summer tires, Potenza RE760 Sport, and likely to place the order Monday. Please comment and make suggestion before I click on the order button. Thanks.

Glad to know this. So I know sure mine will fit. Thanks.

The difference from my 350z rims is 34 mm vs 41.75 mm extension and 4 mm vs 21.75 mm clearance on the inside. So on the inside, the 18x9 ET 35 would have had about 4 or 5 mm clearance from the third link based on visual estimate. But I might have to use same width tires to avoid hitting the fender even if I got the 9" rims because of the extra 7.75 mm extension.
