I have a hard time understanding the offset and tires.

What I'm looking at is running the 5zigen rims for my 95' 240

http://www.splparts.com/Parts/...t.htm

That's the link from where I am buying them from. I want to run 17x10 in the rear. And in the front 17x7 or 8? I'm not sure really which would be the best choise

My whole goal is to run 275's in the rear without fender roll or having the tires pop out on the side of the wheel well. The fronts. I'm not to worried about I just don't want rubbing but I don't want to look like i'm driving on skinnies either. I just want the fronts to look natural.

With that site up there do they offer the offset I would need to get what I want done?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Also anyone know any other rims that might be a good choice for around that price and the tire size I want? This is for a LS1 project so I'm going to need the traction in the rear with the toque.

off set is the distance from the mounting face of the rim to the centreline in milimeters. A 0 offset means the mounting face of the rim is right at the centre of it's width. Positive offset means that it mounts further to the outside of the centre, and negative is further to the inside. The best way to do it is going out to your car and measuring and calculating for yourself. That way you can decide for yourself between a variety of sizes and offsets. Read through the forum also, alot of people have their wheel stats listed and pictures also, so that could help you decide what size you want to run. Also, you can read this:

Any suggestions? Would help. I know a white s14 around my city that is a member here. I've just never talked to him to ask what his offsets have been on the past 2 sets of rims he has had. But he didn't have to roll his on either of them.

I'm not too possitive on the widest tire you can put in the rears, but I do know that eventually you'll need to roll your fenders... even if you have a higher offset, your tires might rub on your suspension. 275's are huge... but I've seen it done, with a pull

anyways... heres a few pics for ideas...

size is 18x11 +18 in the rear w/ 285; 18x10 +18 up front w/ 265

as you can see... the rears are pulled, the fronts are just rolled flat

it still astounds me why people are opposed to rolling fenders...

it takes 5 mins and is one of the easiest things you can do to a car

you can fit 17x10 +25 in the rear with a 275, then in the front run like a 17x9 +15 with a 245
