Hey, has anyone heard of an rally s13 before? It seems like it would do well off road with its great suspension and somewhat of a nutral and controlable slide/drift. I tested mine out in Vermont last weekend and it was a blast.:D

Hey stash420... you live in Portland huh.. I'm out in Gorham.. It's so wierd... in the last two weeks about 3 new members from Maine signed on. There are 2 others in the Portland area besides us. We should all get together sometime!! This is so cool.. I thought I was all on my own. Also strange... what part of Vermont did you go to...? I'm from Rutland, Killington area.. for the first 20 years of my life... and I've been in Maine for 6 years now...... damn time does fly! Have you ever checked out New England Hill Climb Racing... It's kinda like rally racing.. but paved. I've been to the races at Okemo in VT, and Mt. Washington in NH. It's totally open to anyone who wants to race... all different classes... we should get a bunch of 240 owners together and DOMINATE!!

There is a New England Nissan owners club that has meets several times a year. I'm a member of their Vbuttetin boards.. but I never spend anytime there.. I'm too hooked on NICO to waste my limited online time anywhere else. But maybe we should get a big New England import meet going... we would totally need a track!!

Loudon intl. speedway is just outside of Concord. It's a NASCAR track.. and they have a couple 1/2 mile drag strips also (i think). I would imagine it would cost a LOT to rent the facilities for a weekend or even a day. It would have to be a HUGE meet to justify such an expense, and it would have to be a pay to enter type of event. a local meet would be great... but I'm not sure how realistic it would be. Someone would have to spend a lot of effort organizing it.

There is Lime Rock in Connecticut, its on the border of NY and NH, one of my teachers last year said its expensive, like 9k a day or something like that.

Offroad in a RWD car? Are you nuts? There's no way that you can really compete, you'll be sliding constantly. Grip=good (most of the time : ) )

There is no border between NY and NH?!! And Connecticut doesn't touch NH at all...... I've heard of it before... never been there.. and I can't use your directions...... D'oh

I've driven at Lime Rock many times. Fun track. I've also tossed my 240sx around it with the Audi Club. Those are the only two ways you're going to drive Lime Rock. Skip Barber's 3-day racing course will run you $2500 or so. But if you want to drive your 240sx, join a car club like Audi, which doesn't require owning an Audi. Membership runs $40/yr and the track events are $275-400 for 2 day hi performance driving school. All you need is a car that passes tech, (not hard). I'm active with their Potomac chapter, and have the only 240sx. It would be nice to see more of them. If any of you are interested, I'll provide the link. FYI, I believe Louton has a road course in the infield. Audi has events there too.

Oh by the way, Watkins Glen is a "Nacscar" course too, also a fun track. I just ran my 240 there this summer. The uphill section in the boot is the 240sx' downfall- not enough power. You're a rolling chicane for turbocharged cars. 240's fare better at momemtum tracks like Lime Rock.

There have always been lots of rear wheel drive rally vehicles. Front wheel drive ones too. I dont know alot about rally racing, but i would assume there would be different classes.

Yeah... and you can help me work on my car!!!! :D Next sunday I'm installing my Apexi N1 dual... and a test pipe... could use some extra hands! A local meet sounds great.. know of any local spots that would be good..... I've only seen a handful of 240's around town.... mine's a white s14 with a couple AEM and Greddy stickers on the rear (anyone calls that rice and I'll kick them in the junk! ie. I have the parts to back it up). It's nothing too exciting.. but it's a work in progress. BTW.. I work in South Portland.. and I'm in Portland nearly everyday... e-mail me and maybe we can organize some local owners.. that'd be cool.

How'd you do that? GT3 won't let you put dirt tires on a RWD car, I think. Now you've made me intrigued, I'll try it.

I stand corrected, it worked on every 240/Silvia in the game except the covertible (Varietta).
