Hello, Our flavoriate tires are the BFG's ATs and Muds, Also very popular here is the Pro-Comps (AT and Mud).

For mostly streets you may want to look at the AT's first.

Our style of off road is the, sand beaches, lava fields, jeep roads, rocky trails and combintion of these. (Mainly to go shoreline fishing).

The last 15 years, we use mainly the BFG All terrains.

Muds give great grip on the rocks but digs in the sand (especially heavy trucks). AT's handles very well in the sand beaches.

If your large percentage is on the road? Go AT's....Just my thoughts on this.....Aloha

My street and light offroad tires are Dayton Timberline ATs. They are a great all round tire.

My off-road tires are Super Swamper TSL radials...they suck on road.

I did have a set of the BFG ATs as well. They are a good tire, but a bit on the pricey side. My daytons were $500 out the door.

How about the Dunlop Radial Rover R/T?

I agree on BFG a/t's. Best a/t tire made. My friend has 31's with over 60k miles and they just passed inspection. Best tire for the money even though they cost more, you will get your money's worth for sure.

I had a set of BFG a/ts and they were a good tire for ~ 25k. At 30k they were shot. But driving in Moab scrubs tires fast. I switched to MT this summer & they are a much better offroad tire. On road, they are noisy, but my Xterra retired from its commuter car duties, so the noise is not a problem. The M/Ts do suck on packed snow & ice, & sipping them would defeat the purpose of having them.

The Dunlops are a good tire, but they are hard to balance & are made of a softer rubber. Plenty of traction, on & off-road.
