I got my tax stimulus check today, so I figured its to help the economy I might as well spend it on some goodies. I got $600.

My brother started mountain biking and I always wanted to ride as well so naturally I went shopping for a Mountain Bike. I also picked up stuff for the car.

I picked up a Trek 4300 Disc, a Specialized Promero Helmet, some accesories.

Im running my PCV system to my exhaust so naturally I picked up some of the components. I had some AN bungs welded onto my valve cover.

Paying off the last of the loan on the C5. Be free and clear by summer whoot!

Was either going to use it on getting an S14 and swapping my SR20 over, or finishing the S13. Decided bills were more important.

Hasn't been direct deposted yet, the 11th I think of May.

Plans are:-Lojack/alarm-Registration/SMOG for the DMV-Upcoming 700$ insurance payment in summer.-Whatever is left, save for living expenses such as gas/food, IRA.

Ya ya, I have full coverage on my 95 S14 that has 278k miles on it.

I haven't been following your work, but is this to burn off the sludge oil that feeds back through the PCV valve?

With my check I ordered two of these:

20x11x10 ITP Holeshot HDs on Douglas Red 0.190 10x9 rims. They're heavy as hell but they'll rip through anything you can keep the bike running in

The theory behind it, is that the exhaust when it passes the check valves will act as a vacum and suck out the gases thats building pressure in the crankcase. If you ever took a straw and put it in a liquid and blew across the hole you'd see water start to rise, same principle.

A lot of hot rodders, Supra guys do it. It also helps the rings seal better increasing compression and make power. Several 800+hp Supras have shown 60+HP from doing this modification.

Heres a pic to give you an idea.

Mine just went in the bank.

I might buy a beater AE86 on Sunday though, but that'll probably be to flip.

Maybe I'll use a little of the $1200 for my fixed-gear build though. I need some velocity deep-v's.

yea you dont report it but if i remember right its coming out of your next years tax return. its like an advancement. this whole stimulus thing had so many wtf's in it. everyone who files and makes under 75k is supposed to get free money. now everyone that is claimed as a dependent (under 18) only gets money so 99% of college kids are out. now it's an advancement on next years taxes.

im not going to get political but i thought this was the one thing bush has done that was a good idea. (like i said, i dont want to argue about this, this was just my opinion.) but now it looks like they either a) had all these plans and are now quickly drawing back on them making excuses so in reality the money was just allusively free, or b) were never really ready for it, said some stuff vague enough to get by, and then decided to wing it

im bent outta shape over this so i dont mean to rain on your guy's parade. sweet stuff already, cant wait to see what else comes.

its not gonna come out of anyones returns, or it would be considered a loan, which its not. its to "stimulate" the economy, so the government pumps out a bunch more money, and wants folks to spend more; in reality, its just a very temporary fix. but i think your info is wrong as to where its coming from. personally, i think it was dubyas last ditch effort for everyone to remember him on a good note.

i searched the irs website and only found stupid "how do i qualify" FAQ. i looked through like yahoo answers and other question forums and found

Quote »The "rebate" is an advance credit against your 2008 tax return (which will be filed in 2009). However, it is calculated based on the amounts shown on your 2007 return. When you file your 2008 return, the IRS will recalculate your "rebate" based on the 2008 amounts. If this results in a larger "rebate", you will receive a check for the difference. If this results in a smaller rebate, you will not have to repay the difference.

The rebate will not effect your 2008 federal tax liability or refund. The law says the IRS can't recover any extra rebate payment by reducing your 2008 refund or adding to your 2008 tax bill.

The "rebate" will not increase or decrease any tax refund to which you are entitled. It is an additional refund.[/quote]i dont know much, not many do. a stimulus package gappened before and some people say it was an advancement and this time wont be and others say it never was an advance. so its just as confusing this time around

lets just see what next year brings

My dad and I were about to get a Guild a while back but it fell through. It was a really nice guitar though. I havent played on a Breedlove yet. I really want a good acoustic but honestly I need a new and better electric first.
