I guess this is Time For a bump,

We are facing the final stages of this build and with a bunch of little things on order we are nearing the end of a 18 month long build up. Labor Day weekend is going to be huge, with any little loose end finished up and hopefully we will have startup. Keep watching And Thanks for everyones support!

try mounting the seat lower in the car, it will keep your head below the bars. if you get upside down for some reason, do you really want your head above those bars? could compress your spine and kill you.

also what is your reasoning for putting the cage infront of the dash, are you fabricating one or are you actually putting an OE dash back in... ive always put the bar up against the firewall....

i think most of this has been covered but I will repeat....

Seat is as low as It can go. I can fit fine but Mark is a bit on the tall side.

As for the rollcage, it is an autopower FIA Rally LEGAL cage. We did not have the resources to bend and fabricate our own cage. also if the cage extends farther than that point we would have needed to weld in additional floor bracing to make the cage legal.

It's almost alive. I spent a portion of the day yesterday trying to get this thing to fire up. Not until I was completely packed up for the evening did I realize that I had a number inputted wrong into the AEM computer for the cam angle sensor. I fixed it and uploaded it to the ECU so hopefully I have a chance on Sunday to fire it up.

This Friday starts the big push. 4 Solid days of wrenching/welding and final touches to get this car track worthy for VIR in October. I will be resting up all week to get ready.

Jeff I still have alot to learn but I am going to try my damnedest to match the best (you included) This car is nowhere near the quality of what your car is. But for a budget build its not too bad. This year will just be the beginning. I hope that one day we will have the money and the time to be super competitive. Right now we just need to get it done. You want to help this weekend?

It's alive!!! Finally got it started today and it's running pig rich and the timing is way off but we finally got it fired up. Sean is finishing up welding the hot pipe right now, and if it wasn't for the fact that we are missing an an-3 to m10 fitting it would be driveable. Still need a windshield though.

If you guys were only up closer we probably have a -3 to m10 in the shop. Oh well, time to start getting some numbers entered into the AEM now, huh?

Car is coming together nicely, Mark and I went through the boxes of crap we had in the trunk and there is really not that much left, some gauges, and harnesses. other than that, its get the thing aligned and tuned up for the track. We are really excited as to how fast this car has progressed and building a race car on a budget has been great fun. but now its time to finish and race the thing.
