How much weight difference is there between the stock clutch+Flywheel and the new Twin-Disc pack?

Will that 'Lightened' flywheel break up easily? I know that there's a lot of torque at the crank of the SR20 on hi-boost.

well the entire kit is built as 1 unit, you cant buy that flywheel without the clutch, and the clutch is good for 800 ft lbs of torque, the flywheel was just de pressurized for only about 600, and this is very similar to the setup used in 1200 hp drag cars. Maybe I can have someone from spec chime in with more specific answers..

Dale, Good to see you postin' up, and it would be killer if you could come up and work on the race car with us.

Amy, Can't wait to see you next week!

Remember, every weekend we are working on this car to get it ready for VIR in october, so any spare hands are appriciated.

This weekend we go to finishing the cutting on the cage, we took it out one last time to get it finish welded and painted. We removed any extra weight in the doors and put sheet aluminum over the door panel opening, and we also cleaned up the rest of the sound deadening. It was a pretty productive weekend with pics to come tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone that came up to help

i would REALLY like to know your exact reasoning for cutting the roof off just to put the rollcage in... ive put many cages in cars, including my old S13 which had a 14 pt cage and i never had to remove the roof...

Alright, I feel like we've explained this a hundred times already, buut here goes. If we cut the floor and dropped the cage down it would have only given us approx. 3" of room on top, not really enough to get some good welds in there with the mig. Anyway we aren't the first to do it this way, re: Dent Sport Garage. It was a pre-bent cage that we ordered as well, not like we could fit it or bolt it in. It'll pass FIA specs so we're not concerned, and the roof is getting gusseted back on to the cage as well.

Mark, I'm glad you are enjoying yourself because when you get back we have a whole heck of alot of work to get done!! Awesome B13 too!!

MeanGreen, before we chopped the roof, we consulted with different race car builders and we decided it would be our best option. It wasn't just a ahck job(no pun intended) don't worry we are going to properly support the roof and we have a good body man in mind (cbcustoms)

Kognition, your parts look great, I am going to send you a sponsorship email, and hopefully we can win some of that contingency money I actually work with composites daily (ex: Fiber Tuned Intake Manifold) and some other things!

Steve, yeah we'll be around pretty much all day saturday and sunday, swing by sometime!!

Update on Goodrich EOS sponsorship,

Sean wrote a letter last night explaining what is going on and what not!!

Dan was very nice to put together a list of products/ parts we still need and the price of each one.

And I put together a book of all photos taken to show the whole process of the car and the progress made so far.

I should hear back by noon time tomorrow. I'm excited and hopefully we can get some extra funds for the car because we sure need it.

I'll keep you guys posted tomorrow after I hear the news.
