Now that NICO has a Sports Bar, i think its time for a official hockey thread.and since im the first one that saw a need, i made it!

This will be the place to talk about recent games, playoff, and stanley cup predictions, and of course. hockey fights!!

So lets start with everyones favorite team.

mine, the Anaheim Ducks.

I don't really have a fav team anymore..

I was a huge hockey fan back in the early 90's.. I loved Yzerman and the Red Wings. LeMeiux and Jagr and the Penguins, etc...

Now the only team that I really follow is a local Div. 3 college team called St. Norbert college..

I've been to a few Rangers games this year at MSG, IMO it's really fun to watch

live and play but it's not as exciting on TV.

Hockey is my life. My father played PROs in Switzerland for 20 some years and i have been playing ever since i was born. Infact when i went over there recently i saw a picture of me as a baby with a hockey stick on top of me as i was sleeping.

I have to take up for my Sabres though. I'll never diss my hometown team

Quebec Nordiques FAN!Last place almost every year and I LOVED THEM. This year they disappointed me when they got a hold of Jose Theodore, the worst goalie Ive ever seen. Plus I despise the Montreal Canadians.

On a positive note I have to give a huge to the Pittsburgh Penguins who have assembled quite an impressive team. Gary Roberts adn Gochar FTW!

Ive played hockey all of my life. I used to play ice, but at about 16 I switched to a traveling roller team out of Chicago. When I was 17, we placed 2nd in Nationals for the 18+ age group in puck, and 3rd place in ball. Awesome feeling, Im actually about to start playing for Illinois State's team here in a few weeks. Im pumped to beat some *** like the old days.

Meh, I might play AA this year. Youth Hockey is so political, especially when your a goalie and there are only 2 spots on the team. Maybe its just CA hockey, I dunno. Hockey's become a joke to me, I've see so many crapy kids play higher level hockey simply because their dad knows some one or their mom sucked some ones ****. Its rediculous. The nearest AAA team is like a couple hours away from me, got to be really debticated for that. Maybe Juniors wont be so corrupt? I still have a year left in 18U...

I played hockey for 11 years. I played AAA for little caesers for a year, AA for 3, and house for the rest.

My favorite pro team has always been my hometown team, the Red Wings, with the Maple Leafs (my birthtown) as a close second. Honestly, I must agree with GEO on this, I care much less since the strike. However, it will be interesting to see how much **** Bertuzzi stirs up.

played as a kid until i just got sick of it around 13 because even then i could see how political it was.

Still a hardcore fan though. Follow the caps and the sabres (hometown/collegetown).

I am also a part of the student section at RIT hockey games. We just had our first year of D1 and did f-ing awesome

Stars fan right here. Even though most sabres fans ***** about the "goal" I would have to say they are my second favorite team.

Teams I hate the most are the Preds because of the sucker-punching Tootoo and the Casucks because twins shouldn't be allowed to play on the same team.

Yea, too bad the Sabres lost last night.

I HATE the Penguins with a passion. I cant stand Lemieux never could, and Crosby too. He's honestly not as good as they make him out to be. So he can score, that doesnt mean ****. I score 2-3 goals a game also but we still loose, still get out hustled.
