Wow. Nice.

Any interior pics?

Are you having any rubbing issues? Those 20's don't look too oversized on the Q. Nice.

I've got the same Automotive Technician book you've got in the backseat. But I AM jealous of your non-ripped front seats.

Wow. That gold trim looks amazing. I thought your muffler was gold too.

I would love to have a black Q with gold trim, like the older Legends. But the amount of stuff I'd have to replace on my Q, plus the interior makes it not worth it. At least not now.

Very nice Q.

I appreciate the compliments, yeah I did spray paint the muffler gold along with front and rear brake calipers and windshield wiper sprayers on top of the hood. After I finally replaced my tires with Mayo & Mustard Vogues, some d!ck head backs into the front of my ride barely missing the bumper. Will probally need a new hood but not sure. If its not one thing, there is another.

Haven't been here since my 240SX days, think my nick was cartoonman, but it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Anyways, picking up a 94 Q45 for $2500 tomorrow, so I'll be adding my pics soon.

no offence but I kinda feel bad for that car because it looke like a pimped out grampa car just cause of the chrome everwhere and the white side wall tires. LOL

I disagree. The car looks fantastic. He really worked in the gold and chrome well. Most of the time, those two finishes clash horribly. I think he did a great job. It really looks good on the green.

Hey thanx Haitian King for backing up my vision for my ride. I once heard that the greatest risk, yields the biggest reward.

As for the Vogues, I figured that the gold pinstrips around the white walls would compliment the gold grill. Plus, anyone would know that white wall tires bring out the chrome on any ride!!!

Yeah, I think my ride looks alot better with tha white walls. Plus I figured that if I keep the factory rims, I wouldn't have to worry about brake upgrades, suspension modifications, and the rub around the wheel well. Although I have thought about some different 15 in. rims that will set trends in my city:

Although I would rather the 20 in. rims :

Does anyone know about the pros and cons of upgrading rim size from 15 in. to 20 in. ? As far I would go is 17 in. maybe 18in. Just trying to get the best feedback from my fellow Infiniti owners to steer me in the right direction. As for ppastos, I probally bought my car from your grandpa and show him how to pimp out a ride.

Car: '94Q TCS, original transmission @ 230,000 miles

Post

Well folks, it's been fun. It's with deep regret that I've turned in my Q45 keys. It wasn't only the 236k on the original transmission, the beginnings of body rust and the need for new tires, shocks, upper links, fuel pump, Bose amp repair and A/C rehab. Throw in a 50 mile commute + $3.70 gas + a $1,400 trade-in offer = a new Honda Civic owner.

I bought my Q in Feb of 2000, with 89,000 miles for $9,999. It was a single owner Ivory Pearn in pristine condition (from original owner's liberal use of their 100,000 mile warranty). Rare was the day that she didn't see redline at least once. With the help of the original Yahoo owners club, then NICO, she was one pampered *****. Adding the NICO switcher, rear sway bar and shock tower brace, she was also one hell of a fun ride.

Special thanks to Dennis/Q45Tech for sharing his incredible knowledge and first-hand experience.

I saw this last night and thought it was bad ***! Nice job.

dfowler - There's some (read a lot) negativity on this board regarding larger wheels. I've heard everything from decreased mileage (but at 10%/1.8 mpg less, is it really that big of a deal?), decreased "performance", i.e., braking and accelerating, speedometer inaccuracy, and something along the lines of "For every inch over OEM you go, a kitten dies."

Seriously though, I've seen some 17 and 18 inch wheels on G50's that look fantastic. They look big enough. But at the end of the day, it's your car. You don't have to impress a bunch of cranky anonymous people.

Was the transmission showing signs of dying at 236K ?

Damn. Does OK use salt on the roads?

Drove a Civic Si with a friend, and while it was OK for a small car, the exhaust was just too much. Guess I am just old.
