how'd you get that DVD screen in there?

I'd love to put a scren there, but I go to school in Philly, so it would need to flip away or something.

Trunk looks great as well Slipn! I'm in the car audio business and it's always nice to see someone who's done more than that plain square box in the trunk with an amp bolted to it.

Black on black wheels looks pretty tough as well. I like it. Welcome to NICO!

Just getting into the action. Raced this ricer the other day and He could not believe that a four door family car could be so fast And It is bone stock..Besides the sweet rims and tires next will be 15% tint all around and then 2" drop. After that the exhaust will be re worked to give it that nice deep rumble if I can find the correct set up. Check it out [IMG][/IMG]

Looks good, but why did the pics turn out so small?

On imageshack'd homepage, you can select the size of the pic you want. Here's how to do it. Look at the red text:

Hey, I have a '92 Q with 200k on it and I'm starting to make monthly payment on upkeep and/or repairs. Owned it two years and put about $1500 into it after buying it for about 1800. I love the car and am currently facing having to do $1200 - $1800 more in repairs over the next year. Myquestion is this. Do I keep putting my money into this one... or do I look for another one to sink my money into. I'm looking at a '96 I found locally for $1000 which needs a transmission. '92 or '96... any thoughts???

Thanks.

If I were you I would go with the 96. Were the chain guides done in the 92? If not, I would be scared just starting the engine. 200k is a lot of miles. 1200-1800 into a car that has that much miles in my opinion is a waste. Unless you do everything yourself.

Always nice to see new members. Did your guides break while you were driving the car? Please post a pic of your car if you can.

Checkin in! 1994 Q45! Just purchased my first Nissan car and I'm hooked. The quality of the Infiniti line is amazing. Got a few hookups already. Full speaker replacement with polks, okay head unit, little bit of bass too. Fit two 5x7 inch polks into the storage bin on the back deck. Headrest emblems. Ripped out all that wierd factory intake tubing and put on a cone filter. Just bought a strut brace from Jeff, thanks Jeff. Just bought a genuine S2000 engine start button, (gonna put it where the hazard button is. keep an eye out because I'll do a complete write up on how to do it). Still workin on some exhaust ideas... many more hookups to come.

By ripping out the factory intake, you lost power! You might have more power when the engine is cold. But when it's at normal operating temp you new intake is sucking up hot air. Plus, those oilly filters will do damage to your MAF.

Yeah these are issues that I'm still working on. I'm dilligently working toward a true cold air intake using a non-oiled filter. With the headlight out and all the factory intake pieces removed, it's easy to see that it can be done using readilly available intake tubing (pep boys / auto zone / advance ). The intake tubing would pass easilly through the factory hole behind the headlight. Sill looking for a non-oiled filter...

I've been a member for close to 2 years now and have only posted one pic at a time in my signature. It's time to introduce the rest of my Q to NICO.

Purchased in May 05, this Q needed someone with a bank account to bring it back to life. Lucky me. Seats were torn, AC didn't work, CEL came on every drive after 15 minutes, ran rough, lots of missing trim pieces, etc., etc., etc.. New struts, 4 injectors, and fixing a bypassed EGR system were the first repairs. I had a set of rims given to me by a member in Stockton, CA and have traded up to the point where I now have 2 sets of tires and rims- Michelin Pilots on the "Lexus" rims (winter) and Yokohama AVS db's on the 300zxTT rims (summer, great tires).

Along the way I've bought and parted/sold 3 other Q's (90,91, 94t) and been able to provide good parts to many members across the country. The most recent was the 94t which was banged up on the outside (been in a spin on a bridge) but the interior was a perfect gray color (Infiniti only made gray in 1994), garaged in cool SF since birth. For $500 It was a very lucky find. I swapped the front and rear seats, door panels, steering wheel (covered since new) and black floor mats into my Q. Looks great.

My Q runs as good as it looks- Like a new car. I found an Active rear sway bar on an abandoned Q, installed a rear spoiler, and installed a Jeff Williams FSTB. These are about the only mods other than those mentioned above. I've been fortunate (?) to have had a couple of minor fender benders (the second one was my fault) and as a result have gotten almost the entire exterior repainted for only $150 (the deductable). My Q is fast as h*ll and a pleasure to drive. Enjoy the pics.

Hi group,

I've actually been a member of this forum for two years now, but have never posted. I own a 1994 Q45t that I bought in 2002 with 85000 miles on it. It now has about 130k miles on it, but I've since passed it on to a relative because I got a steal on a nice Deville DHS.

I absolutely loved the Q45 and I'd still be driving it, but the body started rotting behind the rear tires and the transmission starting holding gears inexplicably. The transmission issue has fixed itself.

Anyway, I intend on buying an '05 or '06 Q45 sometime next spring or in the fall. I hope to learn as much as I can about that car; what problems to look for, etc.

Where'd you get that kit and how much was it? The white color is sweet, but I'm not too crazy about the back end. Taking the Q lights off really damaged the aesthetic value of the car. At least in my opinion.

I don't like it much either, and don't trust the quality. Expensive also.

1580 for a full kit isn't too bad right?

And does it come with the spoiler or is that stock?

I really don't even need the full kit. What I really want is a nice Q spoiler. And I want to add some foglights.

I guess that's not too much $. I just want the spoiler too, lol. My favorite spoiler is right here in the Xenon website. http://www.teamxenon.com/mm5/m...ITI_1

But I can't actualy find it for sale. Xenon's "rear valance" is the rear bumper I believe. Where the heck is the wing?????
