Never bought the first one...
And as long as they are charging $15, I won't be buying ANY of them.

Not going to happen, after this next map pack all DLC development is done due to Call of Duty:Black Ops coming out in November.

A few days ago, I had posted in the Black Ops thread a link to some info about Activision considering charging for online play, possibly starting with Black Ops. Well, it would seem the rumor that's been discussed about them charging to play MW2 may soon become reality.

This article really pissed me off.

"We think that it is incumbent upon Activision, with the most popular multiplayer game, to take the first step to address monetization of multiplayer," said Pachter. "It is too early to tell whether that will be a monthly subscription, tournament entry fees, microtransaction fees, or a combination of all three, but we expect to see the company take some action by year-end, when Call of Duty Black Ops launches."

In other words they want more money.

They can charge for blackops if they want, that problem is easily solved by me not buying it.

I wonder how much money they will loose by charging for the game, xbox live, AND to play online.

They won't lose anything. Most people will say "Oh, I'm not gunna buy the DLC," then end up buying it. Then there's the blind CoD kids, who'll buy anything and everything Activision pumps out for CoD.

I bought the resurgence pack. I have all map packs for cod 4 and modern warfare 2 this is the first I have paid for. We just rotate out who buys it. You can share with up to 4 ps3s so 15 bucks isn't that much for all the packs.

Did you know you can buy a map pack.
Go to a buddies house and sign on to you account.
After doing that your buddy will have the map pack.

Congrats JD!

The nuke still alludes me. I tried for a 2 week time period, then never tried again.

For me it's:
When in a lobby of friends
- UAV (3) or Counter UAV (4)
- Predator (5)
- Emergency Airdrop (8)

When in a public lobby:
- UAV (3)
- Predator (5)
- Harrier (7)

ump45 is weapon of choice.

The nuke is the worst part of mwf2. Nothing is more annoying than when your team is kicking a** in an objective based game and you end up losing because a nuke. It seems it is usually one little h0m0 on the other team camping in the corner using his kill streaks to get a nuke. Then they proceed to talk s***. It is even more annoying when it is someone on my team doing it. I get pissed when they just hide and don't go for objectives. Last time that happened I just went where he was hiding in the second half and kept shooting till someone came and killed us both. If you are going to do that crap go in free for all and camp.

The higher kill streaks really made MW2 a pro-camping kind of game.

The 3-5-7 in MW1 was perfect, but once you added rockets that lock on, you needed to counter that by having bigger more powerful killstreaks.

Now with wager mode in Black Ops, you best believe people will be camping so they don't lose their money.

Harrier, Pavelow, Chopper Gunner I wreck fools with that combo, once I get the harrier it's game over because then you have 3 aircraft just wasting kids at the same time.

I go out of my way for my team.

I could go with the larger streaks but other players use them so for the most part we win 95% of matches and we don't need any extra help from my CG or AC130. It's the close games that make you feel warm and fuzzy. That's where my streaks shine. UAV helps locate enemies (most under rated streak available) then the predator to get campers or shoot down air support and finally, Harrier because it will shoot other streaks down. That plus I get my streaks more often.

As for UAVs...
I love them so much, I wish I had the option to get a UAV for every 3 kills I got. 3 kills BOOM UAV, 6 kills BOOM UAV, 9 kills BOOM UAV etc... Or an option for an emergency airdrop that ALWAYS dropped 4 UAVs.

Seems there will be a patch tomorrow for PS3 to get the online play under control and playable again, specifically addressing the hacking. I'm amused by this because just last month Activision said there would be no way they could ever fix the online hacking. I guess they got their money's worth out of Black Ops.

Anyone going back to MW2, or sticking with BO?
