oh yea, i need to get smaller clamps as well..even though mine aren't the originals, the ones with just a screw and are aluminum in appearance? the only reason i got the skyline rad and fan was because of the price difference, and the fact they are basically the same..

The wastegate fits really tight. Like REALLY tight. I took a hole saw and drilled into my driverside fenderwell so I could put a allen wrench to adjust it. Works well though.

here are a few other things i got for ya guys:

CXRacing manifold: it makes the turbo sit closer to the block, closer to the front of the car, and down farther towards the motor mount. Aftermarket mounts like Cusco or Peak Performance would make clearance better. Im doing pucks next spring so i'll see how those work with it.

CXRacing exhaust: i had a different eBay downpipe that had to be bent and then a custom hanger fitted, but it fits pretty good, but sometimes will touch the rear diff. i'd still recommend it for the price and quality of the piece. heres a video..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnvaQ3oa710

Well i recently pulled the manifold again to change the gaskets as the others blew out on me and were causing problems, so i thought this would be a good time to inspect everything after some hard runs, highway racing, and alot of cool downs. I still think this manifold is holding up VERY well. The welds are still intake, no signs of cracking, and everything is solid. here are some pics. I once again recommend anyone buying an equal length manifold to buy from CXRacing. also on a side note, i used Permatex Medium (blue) threadlocker on the studs and bolts and is holding up well to the heat and show know signs of loosening as they did before.

ive used Godspeed intercooler kit and its very well made. i had to trim i/c pipes some, but every car is diff on how you had your setup previously.

i have also bought the aluminum pulley kit and they work great...i had them powdercoated another color. they have been on over year.

What: Project_GS (Godspeed) Oil Catch CanPrice: $21.99 shipped (eBay)Overral Rating: 2.5 out of 5

Not bad quality. cheap mounting hardware. Clamps broke VERY easily. There is no way to open the can to put steal wool into it to help catch oil. I had to take the drain out, tear pieces of steel wool into pieces and shove it in the drain plug. Also had to go to home depot and buy fittings to adapt from a smaller hose size to the valve cover size.

My recommendation..pay the extra $20 for a Circuit Sports mini can that can be opened and have the satisfaction of having a "better" name part on your car.. I prefer my Top Fuel Catch can 100x over this one. If you are really strapped for cash, this one will do just fine.

that catch can doesnt look that bad.

you could have bought brass fittings that screw into catch can with a bigger barb. they are usually found in the plumbing section. would save you all that extra fittings and hose :)

splintercell, I would've added bigger fittings directly to the can but they wouldn't be able to screw in because of how close the fittings are together and the part you would use to tighten them down would catch on the can itself. i will say that this can saved my intake from getting all nasty poopy from blow-by though, so it did work, i just wouldn't recommend something a little better, unless you are on a budget.

CXRacing Exhaust Manifold - UPDATE!
I would highly recommend this manifold to anyone looking at tubular manifolds for the CA. I've had this thing turn red hot and still not even crack a weld. If you are looking for an exhaust manifold GET THIS ONE, you wont be disappointed, and its only $140. (mroe pics soon)

BoomBop O2 Housing - UPDATE!
Absolute crap. I guess I should've tested it longer before my initial review, so if anyone bought it and had problems, my sincere appologies. The welds around the flange that bolts to the turbo are cracking, the elbow itself has a crack down the side, and its been leaking for awhile it seems. DO NOT BUY. I'll be switching to a CXRacing one unless my buddy can get me a deal on a Megan Racing one. (Pics soon)

Any more updates on the CXRacing turbo manifold? I'm looking to get that high pitch sound, and I'm thinking this will do the trick (along with 3 inch straight pipe exhaust).

i sold the CXRacing manifold to a fellow member a year or two back. it was still in good condition when I sold it (dont remember to who), but I went back to the stock "log" manifold when I switched to the T28 so I could pick some low end back up. But if you got the CXRacing tubular, I'm sure you'd like it. Just use an OEM manifold-turbo gasket and you'll be set my friend

Thanks for the info dude!

How did yours sound with the CXRacing tubular compared to the OEM cast manifold? I'm hoping the CXRacing one was higher pitched than the stock one.

well I'm hoping it'll make for that smooth high pitch sound like an SR that has a tubular manifold. all the SR's in my area sound really deep and grumbly and they all have stock cast turbo manifolds, except one of them which has a Megan tubular manifold and sounds amazing (high pitched) even with stock cams/tune/turbo.

maybe it's just me, but page 1 in this thread doesn't display right. it's like the page zooms in more and more as you scroll down.

mods, do you mind fixing it puhleez? :)

and did your cxracing manifold give you any issues with melting stuff, like your brake master cylinder?

also, for your cxracing s14 intercooler piping; did you have to cut or modify anything at all to make it work with your ca18? what about getting the idle air and cold start air source to hook up to the nipple before the throttle body?

Here at NICO, it is due to some left-over conversion problems with some old threads when we upgraded our forum system some years ago.

There is a simple fix, so just let a Mod know and we will edit them and correct the display of the posts.

GOOD LUCK..I wouldn't trust anything that isnt' a 'name brand' turbo...someone thats proven in that field, but give it a shot! my friend had a GSX with a CXRacing turbo and it spooled and ran fine..but after he sold it, the next owner blew the motor.....

Best ebay turbo's Ive found (ones I have experience with) are the Kinugawas. Installed a TD05 18G on a buddies SR and it hits like Thor's warhammer!!! They hold up well too. They have a T67 25G you might want to look into. There's also videos of an R32 on youtube running a Kinu 25G making 500whp iirc. I'll link the video and turbo for you.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kinugawa-Turboc ... 93&vxp=mtr - Turbo

They're a little pricier than what most in the Ebay market are looking to spend but they're significantly cheaper than a new Garrett unit. Also Enjuku has entry level Precision units for under $600 new, have you considered any of those?

The kinugawa is a little more than I want to pay but the precision turbos seem decent priced but I don't know what which one to go with im overwhelmed when it comes to turbo selection because there's so many out there and so many different variants. I know i want to make 500hp on my ca or close to it....which one of those would you reccommend?
