The burn was inside the connector. No physical signs of burn on the outside of the connector or wire.brandonbeeb wrote:hey the burn might have been from the heat shrink or soldering id have to see it. did the plastic on the connector melt? or have like a brown tinge to it?
thats my light hes talking about and trust me when i say that i double/triple/quadruple checked that all the connections were good and solid before i spent the time to take the light back off, put the stock one back on, pack the light back up, and ship it back out to Brandon. it wasnt the connection to the stock parking light plug that was the problem. even though just plugging those terminals into the plug held good enough, i even taped them up with electrical tape, and even made sure those connections didnt move when i was wiggling the wires around to get the light to flicker. i looked into the headlight housing and saw that when the wire that was connected to the angel eye itself was moved, this is what caused the angel eye to flicker. it seemed like the connection of the wire to the angel eye, however its connected, wasnt solid.....not the connection of the terminal into the stock parking light plug.brandonbeeb wrote:Ok guys i got a light back saying that the angel eye was not working and what not. paid for the shipping back to me and was going to pay the shipping back out. i plugged the light in and it fired up on the first try even wiggled the wires and it didnt burn out or nothing, this isnt the first time its happened. i think alot of people are having trouble with the wiring and are either crossing the wires or arnt getting a solid connection so please before you tell me that something isnt working double check it
oh yeah it's hardly noticable. i had to go get them from the post office during my lunch break (I truly do hate that place). Everyone at work had me open them up and were oohing and aahing at your work.brandonbeeb wrote:glad your happy with your lights. one of his lights when he sent it to me the glass was completely cracked from an accident i believe he was in so we had to swap that out with another one i had lying around. was def the hardest light to do pulling out the glass piece by piece, (had to atually cut out the glass left about an inch around the border then picked that out piece by piece)
Thats good darkknight22 im going to need a good writeup when i get my lightsDarkKnight22 wrote:nevermind question answered. going to get to work and do a writeup as well
