Whats your gas mileage?

is it a 16 gallon tank, or 18?

i can go about 280 miles on a tank if i baby it depending on tank size im either getting 17.5 MPG or 15.5 MPG and thats with the A/C running most the time and thats 3/4ths highway driving

If i get on it alot i can go about 220-240 i usually fill up a 15-20 miles after the light comes on b/c i dont wanna be too harsh and dry out/ overheat the fuel pump

I use 93 Octane Fuel, and i have 78,000 Miles on My NA

It really doesent make sence, i consider my NA tip top running condition

- 7x,xxx Miles- properly inflated ties (may hurt that they are 18's with 275 in the rear)- good plugs, factory airbox new filters- factory exhaust- new fuel filter - Mobil 1 every 3k w Nissan filter- camber kit, car drives straigt as a nail, perfect alignment

Ive babied that car one tank never shifted above 3500-4000 and kept it at 65 on highway in 5th at about 2800-3000 rpm and still have only got about 260-280 to a tank with the average of im guessing 17.5 MPG

IDK how someone is getting 24 MPG, even if it was a 16 gallon tank you would have gone 384 miles on a tank, witch is unheard of

Not really I average my mpg everytime I fill up just to see what it is. I had about 350 miles on the tank and put 14 gallons in or so, I have a 16 gallon tank. It was pure highway though driving home from california cruise set the whole time, not a whole lot of terrain change either to make the engine have to work harder. Like I said dd it to work and back I am usually around 200-240 a tank I fill when the light comes on usually. Like yours my engine is healthy as well as I have some small weight reduction. Believe what you will I could care less whether someone over the internet believes me or not, I don't gain anything by making up stuff.

I think the light comes on when there is 2 gallons left correct ?

so if you drive till the light comes on you can just divide 14/ MPT ( miles per tank)

To calculate I always just reset the mileage everytime I fill that way when I fill I just divide the mileage by the amount I filled since I always top it off.

How do you know 16 vs 18 gallon tank? I've never put more than 14 gallons in it before it maxes out, and that is when the sensor read empty before filling. I get around 200-220 on a tank.

I do the same thing. My driving is about 50/50 city/highway and with a generally light foot (although I do lay into it when I see those hondas...) I get about 18mpg. Best I ever got was 21mpg, but that was at 60 with the cruise control on for about 1/2 tank.

By maxes out do you mean the light comes on? Or do you just mean the gauge reads E. My gauge reads E after like 13 gallons.

First off, you don't calculate fuel economy as a guess of "well i got x number of miles last time and i filled up a little before the light came on and this time i didn't get as many before it looked like the same place on the gauge" That's just silly.

Here's a simple walk through for you http://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Your-C ... iency-(MPG)

Second, the fuel tank is 18.7 gallons on my 1990 so it should be the same on the rest of yours (I believe the convertibles has 18.2 gallon tanks though).

Thirdly, at stage 4 or so (intake, exhaust, computer, test pipes, boost controller) I got 21mpg in my TT on a road trip while behaving. so its very possible that people are getting mpg's in the low to mid 20's if not higher. There have also been times I've been deep in the single digits in mpg while having fun. At the end of the day its a sports car and its a toy for me so I fill it up when its low, I haven't calculated fuel economy in years.

i have a n/a 2+2 which i believe is a 19 gallon tank. the fuel tank is behind the rear axle. i get about 21 mpg combined. but ive seen anywhere from 17 to 24. its about 40% city, 60% highway. i usually read empty after 300~ miles and fill up is around 14-15 gallons.
