Off topic I know but this group is more knowledgeable than most other forums so I figured I give it a try.

I have a 2001 Pathfinder 2x4 that has developed a weird oscillation at speeds over 45 mph and with a heavy load. It's not as bad with no one else in the car but put a few people in or some gear and the pathy will start to rock back and forth like taking the wheel and turning slightly right, left, right, left, etc.

The tires are new from last summer - Yokohama Geolanders. But it was shortly after I bought the tires that I noticed the problem almost like the side walls were not supporting the weight.

I'll either get new tires or have the suspension reworked but wanted to get some input and/or a starting point before I took it to someone.

She does 167,000 miles on it (only 117,000 on my 1992 vert!)

Any ideas are appreciated except to go @#$% myself!

Could be just the tires then. Or something is loose on the suspension, have you checked all the bolts, etc?

My '02 never had enough miles on it to have any problems, so I rarely even looked underneather it.

Can you see any leaks on the struts? Struts might be blown.

I'll check under the truck tonight and too see if everything's tight. I do have a leak up front that's neither oil nor transmission fluid so it's possible.

Thanks guys.
