the last few weeks enough topics here on nissanversa.org forum have covered civic duties to gel cream for your backne. so it's only fair that i bring up this scary thought. during these few weeks i caught the mention of gremlin. pacer. vega. yugo, and neon. now i don't know about you all but i can absolutely admit that i owned three of those cars and liked the other two. not to say that versa owners are a certain breed but for some of us this seems to be a pattern of liking or owning these cars.

dodge neon. the reason i bought this vehicle, first generation neon, is that these cars had an awesome amount of room in the cabin. it seemed practical for occupants being comfortable in a very small car. but the engine started knocking when cold and i ditched that car quick.

yugo gv. not that i hated this car because i didn't. i purchased a gold yugo cash down. i was so cheap that i went to frisco to buy it cuz the sales tax saved me 50 dollars buying it there. the lights on this car at night would light up a side of a mountain. it had awesome lights and i cruised at high speeds 80+ no problem. great mileage and the seats were comfortable.all bosch electronic ignition with a powerful alternator. the timing chain issue killed these cars off but i sold it when i moved to michigan.

chevy vega. first generation vanagon. no side windows on the wagon made for my break of bad streaks with chicks. this car was awesome except for the crappy engine. it had a great body no dents and someone bought it from me for 300.00 and dropped a small block chevy in it and tricked it out. i never saw it again but i can imagine it was fast and cool.

some of us have mentioned owning some of these gems and that's admirable but this pattern of crappy car purchases by us better have stopped when we bought the versa. hoping that down the road the versa is not listed outside of here as one of the great lemons of the auto industry. out.

I don't think we have to worry about our V's being classed in with the aforementioned classics. The quality of the product speaks for itself.

My vehicle list in chronological order includes:

62 Pontiac Laurentian - tough as nails, couldn't kill it65 Ford Falcon - a real junker, Sold after 1 week1978 Camaro Z28, Loved this car, couldn,t afford the tickets1980 Jeep CJ5 Great vehicle, A little to top heavy1980 Toyota Celica, Very good vehicle, automatic was not my idea2 - 1986 Ford F150 Both trucks were fuel sucking pigs1995 Chev Astro - Good vehicle although too much repair needed2000 Dodge Caravan Reliable cheap tranportation, however it is a minivan1999 GMC 2500 ext cab Z71 - Excellent tow vehicle2007 V SL with CVT - So far so good, enjoyable car to drive, I only have a few complaints about the V. Too small of cup holders and the filler hole for the washer fluid is too small, you almost need a funnell.

I wish I would have kept the Z'd but the V will have to do for now.
