If this day didn't start off wonderful. Yesterday I was working on installing speakers in my car. I brought her into the garage and put the top down to have easier access in the rear. She spent the night topless in the garage and this morning, my father moved her out so he could do some woodworking. I was getting ready for work and went out to put the top up and let her warm up. After I had the top up, I was checking the rear quarter to make sure dad didn't scrape anything (i'm way too overprotective of my car. I don't even trust myself sometimes) when i noticed that I had a crack in the plastic rear window. Great start to a "wonderful" day.

One of the auto repair shops quoted me $660 to get it fixed because they have to replace all of the cloth. They said the window was integerated with the cloth. Second shop wants $220 and they can just sew a new window in place. Much better, but still, I'm gonna be $220 poorer after they fix it. On the bright side, I just increased the look of my sleeper 10 fold  :D

yup had no antenna, so i shaved it. soon to shave door handles cuz someone tries to break into my car and the messsed up the key hole. so i have to unlock the drivers side door thru the passangers side door. anyways it also better for security reasons. cracked windshield ($350 you know what i can get with $350!!!) oh yeah i got a ticket for it to. that was like $155. no dashlights. 4 toned paint job. black primer/grey primer/ white/black. no passenger seat. i need some brackets and the cheapest i found them for were $300!!!!! im tryying to get my friend that works at a machine shop to make me one. but that doesnt look to likely so imma have to buy some. yeah aftermarket race seats. one headlight. (sealed beam housing cracked, so im guessing thats what caused it to burn out. thats all i casn think of right now. and the infamous phantom clunk!

as much as i enjoy duct tape on my window (which is currently there right now) i'm afraid of how it's gonna affect top operation. Plus I don't feel like replacing duct tape every now and again because it keeps coming loose doing to be being folded up all the time.

The temp was pretty damned cold, and I know that's why it cracked. If the car had stayed in the garage, it probably wouldn't have happened. Or if I had been smart and put the top back up when I was done and the garage was toasty from all the heaters.

generally plastic doesn't like being stretched when it's cold, i made this mistake one time on my miata and will never again drop/raise the top when it's cold. i've even gone as far as using a heat gun to heat the window before putting the top back up:D
