I tried the search function to no avail.

Does anyone know where one might find (besides an industrial scale) the weight of the A/C's OEM rims? In browsing for new rims, I want to give myself a buttom line of "at least lighter than what's on there now," and without that reference point, I might as well not browse.

Thanks, y'all!

I've been waiting for the same info to come out too, but no one seems to know. Also if your going to watch weight like I plan to do when the time come for me some new wheels and tires; watch the tire weight too. I do know that tirerack does have our stock bridgestone tires, so you can at least get your tire weight there.

i think the 2.5 16" rim is about 25lbs. so ill guess the 18" wheels are around 30ish. you can simply weigh the wheel and find out how much the tire weighs and subtract that off the tl weight n you got your info

Just came across the same issue for my '10 3.5 SR... eventualy after calling the dealer, calling various wheel vendors, etc, i said screw it.. took the wheel off, put it on my scale with the tire, then looked up my tire and subtracted the difference, only took 10 mins, compared to a few days of fustration. The 18 Alloys are 23 LBS if anyone else is curious, and the michelin pilot xh mxm4's (235/45r18) are heavier at 25 lbs! I did this to try to get a comparason for getting new rims..... Good luck!

50lbs tire + rim combo and since the tire was 215/55r17 Turanza EL400 and those weight 26lbs, the stock rims should be around ~24lbs

man searching on the forum is a serious pain in the butt lol. And the fact that all the good thread now have been archived isn't helping. I always forget to click to search in the archives instead of the recent threads.

also there is a weird bug where sometimes if I search for keyword, exemple "lbs" it won't find anything but if I add "rims" to it now It decides to find something...so fail

Nice find, mcheddadi. Thanks, everybody! Hooray for answers!

So the final answer is: if you buy something off of Tirerack, it will be hard to find something that weighs more than the stock rims.

Ye I recentely weighed my stock rims while i was installing the springs and it weighed 48.6lbs with the stock tires so if tirerack is right and the tires weigh 26 lbs then the stock rims weigh around 22.6lbs, which is going to hard to find lighter rims than that especially if you want to plus size
