New member here...just picked up an '06 G35 6MT sedan with 2400 miles...

Looking for OEM upgrades. More specifically, I do not have the premium package but want to add memory seats, bluetooth, etc.

I know that standardization in the manufacturing process works to our advantage and cars are typically pre-wired in most places for options you may not have ordered. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this on the G35's?

I want to order the homelink/auto-dimming rearview...the hole in the headliner came stock for the wiring (square hole at the headliner/windshield intersection)...but I'm not sure if it is pre-wired underneath the overhead console.

The memory seat switch is on the outter side panel of the driver's seat...guessing the harness from the panel to the seat motor should be good to go? And does anyone know if the coupe and the sedan share the same driver's seat?

The bluetooth mic that goes between the overhead lights and the moonroof...has anyone punched the hole and installed the mic? And then there's the task of replacing the steering wheel left side controller...Does anyone know if Bose system would be required for the bluetooth to function?

Well, any help from someone with experience would be greatly appreciated. I sold a 2006 Titan to get a 2007 Camry but found this G35 for a good price at Infinity...it went into service late December '06 and then the guy got divorced and traded it in on a '07 coupe without it even hitting its first oil change!

You are right with the prewiring but here is the deal. You'll end up paying more than you had to pay to buy the car with those options. Also what if you have problem with those parts? Won't be under warranty because it wasn't manufactured with those options. I would reconsider if I were you. That just me it is up to you. Maybe a quick search how much they would cost you to get them would help you to see if i was right.

Well, you could do some things without any problems.

homelink-easy plug and play. might be able to find one used.

Bluetooth-shouldn't be too difficult to install, might be more expensive than an aftermarket one though.

I'm not sure on the seats, but I don't think you can do it without buying a new seat $$.

I'd go with an intake and exhaust...more bang for the buck imo.

Lets see some pics!

Thanks for the help...I'm going to scour the Ebay and Craigslist sites...I am already meeting a local seller at a wrecking yard tomorrow for the mirror and bluetooth mic...just need the seat panel and steering wheel controller now...and the time to get it installed. I drive a lot for work so bluetooth is going to be a nice change from the earpiece...my wife's MDX has it and I have to steal her car all the time to enjoy the navi and bluetooth...and the Sirius...damn she has it all! Us poor working guys get shafted! I should sell her rig and buy an '07 G!

Thanks again...will post a pic in a bit!

Was scourin the forums and came upon this post. Did you get the mirror installed? How much $$ for installation?
