So heres the situation. I managed to fry my stock turbos within the first 500 miles after the swap (low quality oil + high engine temps  ) and now I peak at 7 psi (still have stock tune) BUT I have a set leftover from the original motor. The PS one turns hard so i'm assuming its no good (correct me if im wrong). So if it works out where I have one bad turbo and its the DS, im fine. But my question is, would you be able to swap around parts between the left and right turbos to make two working ones (assuming only one is bad on the car) or is that not possible?

-OR-

Send all four turbos to CZP @ $75 a piece as cores and get a rebuilt set, until I can get enough for some bigger Garrett BB's.

Im kinda stuck as to what i should do, any insight would be great. Also if theres someone that knows anywhere that would give more than $75 for credit would be cool too.

Thanks guys

Sorry if its a repeat thread, couldn't find what i was looking for

rebuilt turbos aren't worth it, the ones from coz have a pretty checkered past, i've seen some people with smoking turbos, leaking turbos, etc.

If you have the money get a set of NEW center cartridges and use your housings, if not then wait if you can because getting rebuilt or used turbos is as Vulcan said not worth it because you could end up with the same problems.

I was actually looking at the getting new CHRA's, but do you have to have them machined if thats all your replacing? Given they are the OEM chra's and not larger ones. And yea as appealing as the prices are for rebuilt ones I just cant seem to pull the trigger on em. As fun as it is replacing them (totally joking), I don't want to be doing it again in god knows how long..

Stock CHRAs in Stock Housings should fit no problem, i've never heard of anyone having to machine them.
