What is up Z fam, this is my 2nd thread here to again forgive me if i place this is the wrong spot but i have a question in regards to a spoiler i just purchased
I came across this spoiler which is a TT OEM for my NA...ironic huh. Anyway, the color of the spoiler is red and my car is black...see my problem
My question is if i should either:
A)sand it down and repaint it
B) buddy of mine says to wrap it
C) plasti dip it

I will provide pics on the spoiler. On top of that, i wasnt exactly sure how to install it. Whoever previously painted it, did a decent job so it would be a shame to mess it up but im not putting a red spoiler on my black Z
So what do you guys think is my best option. Should i bother doing the work myself or just take it to a shop and let the pros handle it. I am trying to save on costs.
And any tips on installing it would be much appreciated!

Sorry fellas, i cant seem to figure out how to include pics. Is there an option for attachments?

The OEM spoiler mounts through the two holes on the inside hatch ends, plus two through the hatch deck, so think carefully about plans to mount any OEM TT spoiler to your NA- you'll have two holes in the middle of your hatch to have plugged and repainted when/if you decide the TT spoiler has to go.
Not only that but used OEM spoilers have a tendency to be warped and not fit the hatch surface well, and even new ones need to be warmed and weighted and glued often to get them to fit even close to tight. Warping of the hatch surface also affects the fit.

Paint would be the first option for me if you're not changing colors anytime soon.
Wrapping it would be a nice and easy fix if paint is too much.
Plasti Dip would stand out too much if the wing is the only dipped thing on the car. Not knocking dip, it'll just look weird with the smooth finish of paint and the textured look of dip.

Okay I'm not 100% sure if the photo will come up but in case it does, this is the result of how it looks mounted and painted with factory paint. I went to a paint shot and gave them the appropriate color code and voila. I am more impressed at myself for how the paint job came out. This was my first time attempting to paint something like this. The mounting of the spoiler was done by myself with the help of my dad. I was too much of a wuss to drill holes into my own car which is where my dad came in. Came out much better than expected for anyone who wanted a follow up!
