Hey Guys, Your probally gonna kill me asking this haha. I am rebuilding a 22RE Toyota engine. Was looking at the TopLine OEM pistons for it since I have heard a good thing or two about topline and there KA24 pistons.

What do you guys think of TopLine pistons in respect with the 22RE??

Also I plan on boosting this engines so not sure how they fair with boost, do you think they do as good in the 22RE as they do in the KA24 engine with boost??

P.S. thanks for not killing me

your asking about a toyota engine in a nissan forum

anyways it's not the pistons being able to hold the boost it the block and rods and sometimes a headgasket that will blow out if your boosting to much on a stock engine

Yea our bottom end is said to take at least 300HP so its similiar in sturdyness as the KA24.

I just wanna know how topline pistons are percieved in the boost world

well there all pretty much the same because they all do the same thing but it depends on what the material is made out of

Yea the crank and rods are forged from factory

This is a pic of the topline piston replacement's.How does it look in strength compared to the OEM KA24 pistons, as in ring land thickness and such??

Good grief, this is totally in the wrong arena for this question!

The guys who really know your answers are more likely going to be found in the MAIN GENERAL CHAT area. Most of these 240 guys know nothing of other cars...
